Here is your Big Brother Big Mouth Breakdown on the #BB16 Premiere - Night Two
We were so ready to get the other group of eight into the house to get this thing started and in full gear. We know most of you have watched this so we'll give an abbreviated recap of this network show since the live feeds (#BBLF) will be on soon and require our full attention.
The show started off with the usual meet-the-new house guests. Only a couple of real stand out moments in that portion. We see Victoria's arrogance with her multiple statements about how wonderful and beautiful she thinks she is. Caleb fancies himself a "metrosexual cowboy". Christine says she knows she cannot win without getting blood on her hands at some point and is prepared to do that when the time comes. Jocasta, well, we can just sum that up with the word overzealous. Zach came in blazing with some statements like " I don't need friends because all I care about is myself." When answering what kind of people annoy him, he answered with, and I paraphrase, people that talk, eat, sleep, and breath. While I literally LOL at this, I know it may be his downfall. It worked when Dr. Will did it, but Jeremy suffered a much different fate, so only time will tell. Hayden even calls himself goofy, so we pretty much know what to expect there. He claims to have been a good student, so maybe he is hiding a big brain under all that hair, we'll see.
The second group enters with all of the usual screaming and craziness. Christine is a super fan, so she is in awe just entering the house. Caleb locks his sights on Amber early on. Every time the door opens Frankie prances over to meet and greet. Some DR comments reveal Zach stating he doesn't "give a damn about meeting these people", Nicole is already worried about alliances being challenged, and Donny is just worried he can't remember who all these people are. After everyone had settled in a bit, the big group introductions take place. Derrick is hiding his job as a police officer, but drawing on his undercover skills to pull off selling himself as a Parks & Rec Coordinator. So far, nobody seems to doubt him. Cody reveals he is eying Britney's body, but I'm not sure if she has noticed yet.
Then they get to talking more. Frankie is the first we see to head off in a direction of a side alliance with someone from the new group. He and Victoria have hit it off and Frankie wants them to work together. Paola starts to feel out the Caleb situation, feeling that because he is "the other" big personality in the house, he may want to target her. Say what? Really? I don't think Caleb is feeling threatened by anyone right now, least of all her.
Donny uses his rather unusual talent of mimicking cricket sounds to "distract" the other HGs. He says he'd rather them view him as a funny guy rather than a guy that is good at the game. It is a little odd, but his housemates seem quite impressed and intrigued by this. I have to admit, I am a little too.
Zach strikes again when talking with Frankie in the bathroom. He calls him out by mentioning he is familiar with Pine Crest, the school Frankie had attended. He points out that the school has a reputation (for snobby, privileged, rich kids). Frankie looked less than amused by this and in DR says that Zach should watch himself pissing off the HOH like that.
We finally get to the HOH competition. It was called "Over the Coals". The HGs wrapped around a big BBQ spit and hung on for dear life...well, some of them did. Derrick went with a bear hug method instead of using the handles they could use. Worked well for a while. Joey sat back oogling at Caleb's butt. Victoria was the first to drop. At this point Frankie still seems to think he will be working with whoever wins this HOH and was disappointed that Victoria dropped so fast. BB production decides to make things get a little slick by squirting the rest of them with a good dose of BBQ sauce. Britney didn't hang on long after that, and Jocasta went shortly after her. Following that, Christine looses her grip and hits the ground. Zach, deciding that he wants to lay low, lets go and drops by choice. Derrick was thinking along the same lines and told us in DR that he'd stayed on long enough to show he was strong, but not so long to seem threatening, and he too chose to drop. This leaves only Hayden and Caleb hanging on. The spit stops with the guys hanging off the side. Caleb takes this opportunity to show everyone just how NOT hard this task is for him by showing off in a feats of strength display. Hayden, probably realizing Caleb had this in the bag, fell off. Caleb is named the second HOH.
Julie then explains the whole Battle of the Block thing. To be honest, I'm a little unclear on this part myself, so I'm not going to go into too much detail with that. In short, the four nominees will battle one another and one pair will get off the block and one HOH will be named.
The Team America votes are in. The first HG to be placed on the secret Team America alliance is Joey. Each of the three people in this alliance will be given missions to complete. If completed, they will get $5000. The votes are open now for the second HG to join this alliance and that vote will be revealed on the live show next Thursday.
As we look in on the house guests at the end of the show we see Frankie riding Caleb's back through the house. All I can say is that gave new meaning to the whole "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" thing.
That's it for the Night Two Big Brother Premiere Recap. We'll get another blog up going over the first night of live feeds as soon as we can. Boy this is gonna' be a loooong night! See you soon!
